Neil Hilton & James Roberson Named Co-Head Coaches

OKC 1889 FC is happy to announce the appointment of Neil Hilton and James Roberson as co-head coaches for the upcoming 2025 Summer Season. Hilton (Head Coach of Oklahoma Christian) and Roberson (Associate Head Coach at Mid America Christian) have extensive, record-setting histories playing and coaching in Oklahoma City at all levels. They look forward to joining forces again after leading Mid-America Christian to the program's most successful years while on the coaching staff together.   • 4-Year Starter and All-Sac First Team in 2011 as a player at Oklahoma Christian

James Roberson

Career Highlights

  • Mid America Christian University (1 Season as Associate Head Coach & 6 Seasons on Coaching Staff)

  • In Roberson's first season, the MACU men's soccer team set the program record for wins in a season, closing out with a 20-3-1 (.854) overall record and went 7-1-1 (.833) against SAC competition.

  • Graduate Assistant Coach at Southwestern Christian from 2017-2018

  • 2016 NCCAA Division I National Championship as a Player with Southwestern Christian
